Black Chiffon

In the market for black chiffon? Well I am and. heres what i've come up with.

Why black chiffon...well b/c being that I live in AZ and its as hot as an oven outside layering is....well the phrase "Beauty is Pain" kinda sums it up. Dying of heat stroke aint my idea of fun so i've figured it out. Chiffon is awesome for coverage but great for hot weather. So next time you reach for that black undeshirt and spagetti strap...think of this different option. I know I am.

heres to get you excited about the idea...

not bad for $21.99. for the times you need a long sleeve find it here.

imagine being able to wear this

probably better off with white chiffon and of course short sleeves...but wouldn't that be soooo cute?! Stuff that i could never wear before would now be wearable. all ya gotta do is tweque the outfit by adding a shnazzy shirt! My brains boiling with creativity.

ou la la this is cute too...just caught my eye...i could work with this.

see, this would be the look im going for. This pc here is actually a one pc but imagine the top separate from the dress making it a two pc....are you following my vision? The top of this dress is like a white chiffon top. So that tube top shirt you've been dying to get but can figure out how you could wear it? All you have to do is fine a suitable chiffon top providing that coverage etc.

3 C. Milk
1 C. Potato Flakes
1 Tbsp. Salt
3/4 C. Sugar
1/2 C. Butter
4 Eggs
7-8 C. Flour1
1/2 Tbsp. Yeast

Instructions:
Scald Milk, Melt Butter. Place potato flakes, salt, sugar, milk and butter in mixer.Stir briefly and bring mixture to a lukewarm temperature.
Add eggs, yeast, and flour 1 Cup at a time, mixing well between additions. Mix until dough pulls away from the side.
Place dough in a large greased bowl, cover lightly with saran wrap, and let rise until doubled in bulk.
Smash dough down, and form balls for rolls.

Some More Ingredients:
1 Bag Marshmallows
4 Cups Granulated Sugar
4 Tbsp. Cinnamon
4 Sticks of Melted Butter

additional Instructions:
Combine Sugar and Cinnamon. Dunk marshmallows in melted butter and then completely cover in Cinnamon sugar mixture.Place covered marshmallow inside of dough balls and close them up by pinching the bottom and twisting it shut.
Next dunk dough ball (with marshmallow inside) into melted butter and then immediately into the cinnamon sugar.
Continue the same procedure until all the marshmallows and dough are used up.
Place dough balls (with marshmallows inside) onto greased cookie sheet. Don't bake more than 12 per cookie sheet.
Bake at 375 for 19-22 minutes. Remove from oven and dump them upside down on waxed paper.
*When you bake them, the marshmallow melts inside leaving the roll hollow. Sorry the recipe is sort of hard to follow. I promise that they aren't hard to make, it's just hard to write down how to make them.

Track record

Now I don't have the best track record when it comes to my "track". Seems like since pregnancy I've had constipation issues.(many reasons) So I am always lookin' for healthier better ways to keep a better "track record".(if you're following me). Because lets face it, the same routine everyday can get boring...so thats why I like to try different things.

Here are two more things to add to the list to keeping ya 'smooth':

eat cherries
-not sure the details why, I just know(first hand) it works

Orange peel

-yeah, ya know that white stuff? well its not only a natural laxative but its good for your body. Thats because its packed with fiber. Next time you eat an orange...leave all that white stuff on there!

M. Cunningham's buttermilk pancakes

..Apparently these are to-die-for...not literally but you get my drift.

MARION CUNNINGHAM'S THE BREAKFAST BOOK BUTTERMILK PANCAKES
Adapted by Shuna fish Lydon

1 Cup Buttermilk
2 Large eggs
3 Tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1 Cup all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon Kosher salt
1 teaspoon baking soda, sifted

"1. Put the buttermilk, eggs and melted butter into a mixing bowl. Whisk to combine thoroughly.
2. In another large bowl whisk together flour, salt and sifted baking soda. Make a "well" in center.
3. Pour the buttermilk mixture into the center of the "well" and stir until combined, but do not over mix-- a few lumps are ok.
4. Heat up a cast iron skillet slowly until medium hot. I place my hand over the surface of the pan, hovering near an inch over the surface. If I feel heat radiating out, it's ready.
5. Melt a small pat of butter in skillet. If the butter immediately browns, turn heat down.
6. Scoop large dollops of batter into prepared pan. Do not crowd pancakes; you will need room to flip them.
7. When bubbles form across the entire surface, flip pancakes. Pancakes should only be flipped once.

I like to heat up my oven and keep a plate inside so that I can place the ready pancakes in there to wait, thereby being able to sit down with the person I'm eating pancakes with. This recipe has made anywhere from 6-8 average sized pancakes

###

If you like a fluffier pancake add 1/4 teaspoon more baking soda. If you want a butterier pancake, add 1 tablespoon more melted butter or decrease the flour to 3/4 Cup. If you like an even flatter pancake than me, add 1/4 Cup more buttermilk or whole milk. "

Use YoGurt instead

I delight in swimming my tongue in a spoonful of Stonyfield Farm's Organic Vanilla yogurt. Its ridiculously creamy and just perfect for a little morning sunshine or whenever a sugar crave attacks. Well, it had been weeks since I've enjoyed my yogurt and today was ..awesome! But what was even more awesome was the insight underneath the lid.

Did you know you can substitute sour cream/mayo with yogurt? Me neither. I mean it makes total sense...its practically the same stuff. You can totally "lighten Up" your meal with yogurt.

Cook with yogurt instead!

And here is a recipe you and I can try out.
